An authority in the Indian territory of Kerala, where the accident occurred, said on Twitter that the pilot was among the dead. 

The D.G (Directorate General) of Civil Aviation said in an explanation that the plane arrived in overwhelming precipitation and afterwards kept “racing to end of the runway and tumbled down in the valley and separated in two pieces,” the Hindustan Times detailed. 

The Boeing 737 flown via Air India Express had taken off from Dubai and was endeavouring to land in Kozhikode. The episode happened at about 7:30 p.m. Friday nearby time.
