Sunil Gavaskar said he never accused Virat Kohli’s better half and Bollywood entertainer Anushka Sharma for Kohli’s exhibition against KXIP.
Sunil Gavaskar, explaining his remarks on Virat Kohli’s exhibition in the Indian Premier League conflict against Kings XI Punjab, said he had never accused Anushka Sharma and that he had just remarked on their web-based media video.
In a report in India Today, Gavaskar was cited as saying, “Initially, I might want to state it once more. Where am I accusing her? I am not accusing her. I am just saying that the video said that she was bowling to Virat. Virat has played just that bowling during the lockdown time frame. It’s a tennis ball, fun game that individuals need to breathe easy during the lockdown. There’s nothing more to it. Where am I censuring her for Virat’s disappointments?”
He further expressed that he has consistently upheld that spouses are going with husbands on the visit. “You know me, I am the person who has consistently batted for spouses going with husbands on visit. I am the one that a typical person setting off to the workplace for a 9-5 work, when he returns home, he returns to his better half. Thus, cricketers, when they go out for a visit or in any event, when they are playing at home, for what reason wouldn’t they be able to have their spouses with them?”
“Since after their working hours are finished, they need to return to their spouses like each other average person does. So I am not accusing her.”
During RCB’s conflict against KXIP, Gavaskar was heard saying that Kohli invested energy with Anuskha during the lockdown and the batsman had polished against her bowling. He felt the absence of training hushed up apparent in Kohli’s presentation as they were pursuing a difficult 207-run target.
In the critique box, Gavaskar had stated: “Abdominal muscle Joh lockdown tha to sirf Anushka ki bowling ki practice ki unhone, wo video dekhi hai (a reference to a viral video), usse to kuch nahi hona hai (During the ongoing lockdown he just rehearsed to Anushka’s bowling, I saw a video. In any case, that won’t be sufficient).

Notwithstanding, his remarks went poorly with the cricket fans as they pummeled Gavaskar on Twitter, calling his comments ‘misogynist’. Anuskha likewise responded to the statement, calling it ‘disagreeable.’
Kohli, in an uncommon occurrence, had an off day in the challenge against KXIP. The India captain previously dropped KL Rahul twice, who proceeded to score a century, in the KXIP innings and he just scored one with the bat before Sheldon Cottrell eliminated him. RCB proceeded to lose their second match of IPL 2020 by 97 runs.
