Officially dispatching the Congress signature crusade in the state against the ‘dark’ ranch laws, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Friday hammered the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for their “political showy behavior” over Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s abdication from the Union Cabinet, which they were anticipating as a major penance rather than an obligation towards Punjab.

“Where were they when the state government moved a goal in the Vidhan Sabha on August 28 looking for withdrawal of the counter rancher laws and requesting that the Center make MSP a legal right,” he inquired.

“Their contrivances presently would not enable the Akalis to charm the ranchers, whose lives they themselves were gathering to decimating as partners of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),” he stated, repeating that his administration will challenge the new laws naturally.
