A few guardians have kept in touch with Arvind Kejriwal and asked him not to continue physical classes for school understudies this year amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
As the Ministry of Home Affairs has delivered the rules for returning the schools from October, almost 2,500 guardians from Delhi have composed an email to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asking him not to continue physical classes this year for the security of the understudies.
Because of the continuous Covid-19 pandemic, a ton of guardians is not sure about sending their wards back to schools as it could be a significant wellbeing hazard. Accordingly, the guardians have mentioned that the classes are not continued for the current year for the security of staff and understudies.
A parent wrote in the email, “Schools should be reopened when zero Covid-19 cases are reported for at least 10 days or when a vaccine is available. Else, the government should declare this year as a zero year.”
The Parents’ Association sent the email to the Chief Minister of Delhi. The email likewise contained assessments and perspectives from 2,498 guardians who have been questioned about sending their wards to class during a pandemic.
Delhi schools shut till October 31
In the email, it is apparent that practically all the guardians are not open to sending their kids to schools presently, even though the MHA has delivered the Unlock 5 rules, where it is expressed that the schools can resume from October 15.
Vice president Minister had likewise affirmed through his official Twitter handle prior this month that the schools won’t return before October 31. He said that schools would stay shut because of the continuous pandemic circumstance.
“All schools in Delhi will remain closed till October 31 due to Corona. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that as a parent, he understands the seriousness of the situation. At this time it will not be appropriate to take any risk regarding the health of children,” he had tweeted.
According to the rules given by the MHA, the choice to return the schools is totally up to the separate state government. The online classes directed by teachers amid the lockdown will proceed until further notice.
