In the wake of staying in the refusal mode for a very long time, previous Bollywood entertainer Urmila Matondkar will, at last, join the Shiv Sena on Tuesday, a senior assistant to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said here on Monday.
From September 2019 till November 30 night, Matondkar, 46, had rejected entirely that she intended to join the Shiv Sena, however solid hypothesis reigned in political and media circles.
“Exceptionally toward the end of last night things were concluded and she will join the Shiv Sena officially in presence of gathering president and CM Thackerayji on Tuesday,” the CM’s helper Harshal Pradhan told IANS.
Shiv Sena MP and Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut likewise said on Monday that “she is now a Shiv Sainik, simply hang tight for the proper declaration” to a blast of inquiries by the media.
Fully expecting her turn, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) recently presented Matondkar’s name alongside 11 others, to Raj Bhavan for designation to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s portion.
This will be Matondkar’s second gathering after she left the Congress seeming a bit piqued on September 10 a year ago, post-rout in the 2019 Lok Sabha decisions on account of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Gopal Shetty in Mumbai North body electorate.
Truth be told, before the October 2019 Maharashtra Assembly surveys, there was an exceptional theory that she would join the Sena, Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party or even Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, however, she had sneered it as bits of gossip.
A few months prior, she and entertainer Kangana Ranaut were occupied with a battle of words after the last offered specific comments on targetting Matondkar on the online media.
