Haryana Home Minister and AYUSH Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that Yoga would be presented as an instructive subject in Haryana. He likewise noted that the number of yoga shalas in the state would be expanded to 2000 to advance Yoga.

He said that the first Sunday of each month would be celebrated as Yoga Day and more yoga instructors would be hired as decided at a Haryana Yoga Council meeting at which Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Yoga Guru Ramdev were also present.

“Haryana Yoga Council’s meet closed in presence of CM and Swami Ramdev. It was chosen to build number of Yogashalas to 2000, to remember Yoga as a subject for schooling, to praise the main Sunday of the month as a Yoga Day, and to enlist Yoga educators” Vij tweeted in Hindi.
