Night temperatures stayed underneath the edge of freezing over in both Kashmir and Ladakh on Friday as the climate office estimates another spell of downpour and snow starting on Sunday. “An additional two-day long spell of downpour and snow is probably going to happen in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh starting on December 6,” authorities of the neighbourhood MET division said.
Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded less 1.2°C, less 2.5°C and short 2.2°C as the base temperatures are individual. Leh town of Ladakh recorded short 8.5°C and Kargil town less 8.2°C as the day’s most minimal temperatures.
Drass town of Ladakh, which is the coldest occupied spot in India, recorded less 11.8°C as the base temperature. As indicated by a BRO billboard, the most minimal temperature ever recorded in Drass was short 60°C on January 9, 1995.
Jammu city had 11.2°C, Katra 10.2°C, Batote 5.0°C, Bannihal 2.0°C and Bhaderwah again 2.0°C as the most reduced temperatures today.
