Entertainer Mithun Chakraborty, who joined the BJP today in Bengal, said the purpose for his move was his deep-rooted dream to help poor people and added that he is sure that the gathering will win the get together political decision in the state.

Conversing with journalists after joining the gathering at a huge meeting today, the entertainer said that just one conference helps poor people. If he needs to satisfy his fantasy, he should hold somebody’s hand.

“You can me narrow minded or whatever else. Yet, the explanation for my narrow-mindedness is that I need to be with needy individuals, I need to battle for them,” Mr Chakraborty, 70, told journalists.

“Since I was 18-years of age, I had a fantasy that I will remain with the destitute individuals, I will help them, I will get them their due regard,” the National Award winning-entertainer said, adding that even his films are likewise about this.

He additionally said the senior heads of the BJP made the gathering an incredible accomplishment in the state. He appended that he is sure that BJP will win the Bengal decisions held in eight stages from March 27.

“BJP is making the public authority, that is without a doubt. Also, on the off chance that we would all be able to satisfy the Prime Minister’s fantasy of a Sonar Bangla, I will be the proudest man,” Mr Chakraborty adds.

Saying that he has never been related with any gathering, Mr Chakraborty stated that the Trinamool Congress had proffered him a Rajya Sabha MP, and it was his “awful choice”.

“I left (as Rajya Sabha MP), I would prefer not to point fingers at anybody that it was their shortcoming. It was my terrible choice. We should end that subject here,” the entertainer adds.

Mithun Chakraborty left the Trinamool within two years of his Rajya Sabha assignment after being named in the Saradha chit reserve case. The Enforcement Directorate addressed him on ₹ 1.2 crores he had gotten from the gathering to turn out to be brand representative of a TV news channel the Saradha bunch financed.
