Dr Kiran Bedi was eliminated as the Lieutenat Governor of Puducherry on February 16. The previous IPS official was selected as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry in May 2016.

Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan will supplant her, the Governor of Telangana, who has been given the extra charge as the L-G of Puducherry, news office ANI detailed.

An assertion delivered by the Rashtrapati Bhavan read: “The President has coordinated that Dr Kiran Bedi will stop to hold the workplace of the Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry and has named Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana, to release the elements of the Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry, notwithstanding her own obligations, with impact from the date she expects charge of her office, until ordinary plans for the workplace of Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry are made.”
