The Chiefs have not had consistent performances from their running backs thus far this season. This week, they attempted to fix the issue by claiming a player off waivers,
but they were unsuccessful. Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Chiefs submitted a claim for former Cardinals running back Eno Benjamin. However, Benjamin was awarded to the Texans
since they were first on the waiver list. Saints and Seahawks both attempted to acquire Benjamin. Similar to the Chiefs, they fell short. This season, Benjamin, age 23,
has been a valuable contributor for the Cardinals. It was somewhat unexpected for him to be released. Benjamin has 70 carries for 299 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games this season.
Additionally, he has 24 catches for 184 yards. Without a doubt, the Chiefs' backfield would have benefited from the addition of Benjamin. Isiah Pacheco is their current No. 1 running back,
according to their depth chart. Since the Chiefs cannot get Benjamin this season, Pacheco will need to step up. Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are comparable.
