Chris Redd, a former cast member of "Saturday Night Live," will reportedly undergo surgery to repair his nose after being brutally attacked outside a New York City nightclub on October 26.
According to TMZ, Redd's recuperation will require surgery, and now that the bulk of the swelling has decreased, he is prepared to properly restore his nose. One of
his nasal bones was fractured in three places due to the severity of the injury. According to TMZ, the rigorous treatment will require surgeons to re-break Redd's nose in order to reposition
the bone and restore the right shape of his nose. Under the care of skilled doctors, Redd will be under general anesthesia for around two to three hours throughout his procedure.
According to sources close to the comedian, the only objective is to heal the damage. According to TMZ, he has no intentions to modify his nose to alter his appearance cosmetically.
Redd was assaulted while attempting to enter the Comedy Cellar in New York City for a scheduled show there. According to TMZ, surveillance footage caught the savage assault,
and it was later determined that the attackers used brass knuckles when they attacked the victim. During the incident, the attackers attempted to steal Redd's chains.
According to TMZ, no arrests have been made and police continue to search for the suspects.
