Monday's stunning upset victory over the previously unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles had the Washington Commanders floating on cloud nine.
However, the manner in which the Commanders and quarterback Taylor Heinicke celebrated their victory has one Minnesota Vikings player frustrated.
Taking to Twitter this week, Vikings defensive back Kris Boyd admonished Commanders and Heinicke for how celebrating on the ride back wearing a large chain - the same way
that Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins did a few weeks back. "Stop trynna f-g be us…Lames…He couldn’t hold Kirk jockstrap!! Find your own trend!…Y’all s-t
don’t even look like y’all having fun enjoying it.." Boyd wrote. Since yesterday, his message has received over 3,500 likes and 2,000 retweets.
Boyd justified his remark in a subsequent tweet, noting that he does not play around when it comes to his team. "I strongly support my teammate....
There is no alternative solution. These men are comparable to my brothers. A large family from everywhere. And there's nothing but love in the air!
My family is the Minnesota Vikings, and I don't play when we play!! Point blank period!" Whether or not the Commanders should have been in a joyful mood,
they had every cause to be. If they defeat the Houston Texans on Sunday, they would be over.500 for the first time since Week 1 and will have won four of their previous five games.
